High School looking to get started

Postby NPKeaney » Sat Feb 17, 2018 2:05 pm

I have a high school Biomedical Engineering class with two Dremel 3D40 -EDU printers and we are looking at the possibility of printing a 3D hand. I have little experience in 3D printing but the students are excited about the possibilities. How do we go about the process? Do we need to find a potential recipient first etc? Any info would be much appreciated.

Hello! The best way to start is by picking a design and making a test hand just to see how it all goes together, and submit a video of your finished functioning hand on here. Then you can either print an unassembled hand and send it directly to the address that enable specifies on their website, or join the enable web central and try and find someone who would need a hand or you can also join the enable community on facebook or google+ and there will sometimes be people on there who are looking for hands or have recommendations on where to send them.

Yes, if you've not, please sign up with http://enablewebcentral.com. There are lots of cases you can help with.
