3D Printer wear parts & consumables

Postby GrandPaul » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:23 pm

I won an Ultimaker 2 on e-bay (on it's way), and I'm wondering for those of you that have them, what are the "normal" wear parts?

I see kits of parts listed on e-bay, and that typically indicates regular replacement required.

Also, in regular use, are there any consumables to consider apart from the spools of PLA/ABS material?

Thanx in advance!

The primary consumable I use is hair spray to help bed adhesion.

If you get a clogged nozzle, cleaning filament is helpful, as well as acupuncture needles.

If it doesn't have it, I HIGHLY recommend installing an Olesson Block, so you can swap nozzles and nozzle sizes easily, and some spares of the smaller sized nozzles.

Happy printing!

Good tips, exactly the stuff I'm looking for.
