NEW BADGING SYSTEM - NO LONGER USING FORUMS

Postby Ebubar » Tue Mar 13, 2018 4:21 pm

Hey eNABLERS!

Thanks for the hundreds of submissions for virtual approval for badges. Andrew and I have enjoyed working with all of you. In order to streamline the system and recruit some more virtual approvers, we'll be switching to a new GOOGLE FORMS.

You'll still be submitting evidence (either picture or video) and still be getting badges (albeit through a new system called BADGR). Your credly badges will transfer over automatically.

This change will allow us to respond more quickly to your requests and hopefully decrease the approval times which have been as great as 1-2 weeks.

Further instructions will be added to this sticky as soon as the new system is live. If you have questions or comments, don't hesitate to ask, as I'll continue monitoring this forum, but all future approvals as of 12:00 PM on 3/13/2018 will need to go through the new google system. Please note there is a small "deadzone" of time between now and when the new system will go live. Please don't submit to the forums. Just wait for this sticky to update with details on using the new submission process. Thanks for your patience!

Cheers and see you on Google Forms!

Hi!

We were submitted and approved on Credly before the 13th, we have received our badge, but we have not gotten any information since then. We were added to the Chapters Map as well, however we have not been able to receive any requests, and have gotten no responses from the forum and I believe our chapter leader. Does this dead zone apply to requests for hands as well? Sorry for all of the questions! Thank you for your help.

Best,
WISRDenable

The new badging system is live!

Get approved to build hands today! Click this.....

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... g/viewform

Fill out that google form for all badges.
Once you have badges, you will find recipients through registration on:

https://www.enablewebcentral.com/

That is where you can find recipients that need devices and offer your assistance.
Currently, there are probably more helpers than helpees, so think about other ways you can contribute too.
Enable is a BIG community and printing hands for people, while rewarding is not the only type of volunteering you
can do to help. Come up with ideas and try stuff!

Hope that helps. Cheers, Eric

If you got your credly badges, they'll transfer over to badgr for you. To get matches to people that need devices, you need to register on enablewebcentral (https://www.enablewebcentral.com/) and scroll through to find local folks that might like a device. Then you can volunteer and an expert will try to match you up and help you get a device for someone who needs one. All hand requests are through webcentral, so this forums "deadzone" only applies to badging.

Does this help?

Eric

Hi Eric,

The link to the google form page seems broken and it just redirects me to my account.
Could you fix it?

Thanks,
Pasquale

Thank you so much Eric! We will register right away. We just created a Badgr account, and our Credly badge has not transferred over. What should we do?

Give it a little time. If it doesn't transfer over in the next couple of days, then you should resubmit your evidence to get the badge through the google form.
