My name is Chris Vivo. I am the STEM Coordinator at Notre Dame Academy Los Angeles. We are an all-girls, college preparatory high school located in Los Angeles, California. Students in our STEM Pathways program are interested in becoming involved.

Ladies,

Your print looks great, I love the color scheme.

When adjusting tension, keep the resting open position at around a 30degree angle. This allows easier usage for the recipient.

Also, I noticed your wrist pins aren't flush with the inside of the gauntlet. Were the pins too long or is this a filament issue?

Andrew,

The students made some adjustments to address the concerns you raised. They have re-tensioned the hand so that the resting open position is now at 30 degrees as you suggested. Upon inspection, they found that the issue with the wrist pins was a filament issue. The pins were not pushed in far enough, which is why they were sticking out on the inside of the gauntlet. There was a slight bit of flash that needed to be trimmed off so that the pins would fit properly. They have done this, so now the pins are properly positioned. They made a video showing the hand after their adjustments.
