Requesting Approval by Jeffrey Huang

Postby MillValley e-NABLE » Mon Nov 06, 2017 8:46 am

Hi, my name is Jeffrey Huang and I'm from Mill Valley California. I am requesting approval for producing Phoenix V2 hands printed with PLA on a Sindoh WOX WP200 printer at 100% scale. I got the stl files from thingiverse. I looking forward to hearing your feedback and thanks!

Hi, I noticed that the video resolution wasn't as nice as I'd like. Here are some additional pictures of the hand. Thanks!

Jeffery,

Wow! Great job on your video! That's probably the best all around video I've seen while doing these.

Your hand looks good. Like you eluded to in your video, I can see where you were having adhesion issues. It looks like your nozzle might be a little high from the build surface. The underside of the phalanx and the palm both appears to show signs of lack of bed adhesion. I tried Googling your printer so I could give you some device specific advice... but I couldn't find anything. Let me know if you have issues finding this information on your own.

To help with your next hand, you can download the team UNLIMBITED Phoenix hand at 100% scale on thingiverse. They have a jig for the gauntlet thermo-molding. I also like their gauntlet and tension pin block design more than the whipple tree design used in the regular Phoenix hand.

Thanks for joining up with the group and let me know if you have any questions!

Consider this message your approval for the TEST HAND and the PHOENIX HAND V2 fabrication and assembly badges!

Thank you Andrew! I'll play around with some of the advanced settings to adjust nozzle height as well as try out the team UNLIMITED phoenix hand. I'm really looking forward to helping out with the e-nable community.

Jeffrey
