Customisation - Prototype App

Postby AlexandraK » Wed Mar 29, 2017 12:16 pm

Hi,

My name is Alexandra Kovacs and I am a 4th year 3D animation student at Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. I am currently doing a research project on the aesthetics of 3D printed prosthetics and created a prototype app which allows the user to modify the look of a K-1 Hand design (courtesy to Evan Kuester).
The designs are not 3D printable, the aim of the research is to find out if a similar online customisation methods could work at all regarding prosthetics.

I would like to invite you to take part in the research – please keep in mind that you have to be over 18 years old. Amputee patients are unfortunately excluded, I am targeting medical experts, carers, family members, engineers, hobbyists, basically anyone who has not personally gone through any kind of trauma.

If you find the idea interesting and have a spare 15-20 minutes, please click on the link below – once you downloaded the zip file, open the Project.exe and test the app. Once you are finished, please complete a short survey about your experience (link also available below or from the application itself).

Please feel free to leave any questions in the comment section/send a message!

Thank you! =)
