Deformed/damaged hand models
It may be useful to make a library of models of deformed/damaged hands that we could design hands against. I have been using OpenSCAD to design copies of STL files where I copy the design by putting both the original and designing around it. We could do the same thing with the model of the deformed hand. If we have a few models per hand to capture the full range of motion, that would be best. Any chance of collecting such a library to design against? It would be most useful for the design of prosthetics for partial digits.

That would be very useful. Do we have any scans of hands that we have permission to share with the group?

Re: Deformed/damaged hand models
I am getting a scanner this week and will be aiming to get scans of recipients and permission to share them.
Will keep you posted on progress.

I can share the scan of the recepient's arm cast I have.
Here is the original high resolution scan (~300k poly) and a cut, reduced poly scan (~50k)
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing
This is the arm http://imgur.com/a/5ENvd
And this was the cast that was scanned http://i.imgur.com/brRN48h.jpg
Hope it helps

Excellent initiative! Here is my contribution, a scan of a plaster cast captured using the Occipital sensor on an iPad. The cast is of the right arm of a 13 year old male recipient that I work with. When taken, we were using a 115% Raptor Reloaded.
Does anybody have scans of transradial or transhumeral limbs? I'm working on sockets now and would like to have a printed scan to test with.
