I don't personally use PLA very much, but anything over 30 or 40% should be solid enough. PLA often feels somewhat rickety, regardless of what you do, but that should be pretty strong.

Make sure you have a good shell on it, too. Something over 3 or 4 layers. Shell is much stronger than infill.
