Eagle Arm

Postby PeterBinkley » Mon Jun 01, 2015 1:40 am

I'm trying to develop an open-source version of a transradial device, and I'm calling it the Eagle Arm. It would actuate by hunching shoulders forward, which pulls on a "backpack" type harness. A cable would run from the shoulders down a bowden tube and into a socketed glove. Attached images are the inspiration for the shoulder component of this device and the beginnings of a printable version of triglides for the shoulders. Just add nylon straps.

Buckles like this print fast, easy and strong.

Hi Peter. Has there been any progress on this? We have several requests for shoulder-driven devices in Ghana, Nigeria and Hungary. I'm thinking of something like Jeff's Monette Trans-Radial System v1.0, but using flexible filament like the 3D Life Arm.

Thoughts?

Same questions as Joe^^^

This seems very interesting.
