Any groups or individuals in San Francisco Bay are to help getting started?

Postby Davey » Fri Aug 04, 2017 5:40 pm

I'm trying to get started in making hands. I have decent printing and design skills. I've read and watched all that I can find. I'm signed up on Google+, the enablewebcentral site, and filled out an intake form.

Are there any groups or individuals in the SF Bay Area that could help me get started? I live in Oakland but willing to travel.

It's just been a couple days since I've submitted the form- how long does that take?

Thanks!

I am also interested in a SF Bay Area chapter. I am in SF. If there are any folks around here interested in working on prosthetics and/or other assistive devices, please let me know!

I live in Daly City and I'm looking for volunteers to build me a prosthetic left hand.

Hello! I'm also here in the SF Bay Area and looking to make a set of (partial) hands for my friend who lives here, too. I'm new to this and am currently researching what to do to make it happen! Does anyone know where I can find access to a 3-D printer? Hats off to those of you here...how are your efforts going? :D
